Karen started working for BMW in 1997, she spent 11 years working as a Service Adviser for the local main dealer. During this time she received various BMW training and gained a wealth of knowledge though experience. Karen’s background is in admin, however as with any small Company she has had to turn her hand to Accounts, Payroll and Marketing.
Joe started working with BMW even before he left school, with a Saturday job at the local BMW Dealership, when the time came he was fortunate enough to secure a place on the BMW Apprenticeship scheme. Following the comprehensive training and hands-on experience gained working at the main dealer, Joe successfully qualified as a BMW Technician and recently passed the prestigious Senior BMW Technician qualification. In total Joe has worked and trained within the BMW network for over 10 years. Joe has a young family and in his spare time enjoys his classic Mini. We feel very lucky to have such a highly qualified and experienced Technician join our team.
David studied at West Suffolk College and spent 7 years working on a variety of vehicles. David is a qualified MOT tester, and is very eager to learn new skills.
David has been with us 2 years, and although not trained by BMW, David’s natural ability and determination has ensured that he now has a wealth of BMW knowledge.
Andy started his working life on VW, he completed his apprenticeship and qualified as a Technician. After VW he moved to BMW in Ipswich as a BMW Technician, he worked here for 5 years, he also held the position of Workshop Foreman. When the BMW dealership in Bury opened (by Mr David Carr) Andy’s ex-boss asked him to join the new team, he stayed working here for 19 years and held various positions including Parts Manager, Aftersales Manager and finally General Manager. Andy can still be seen in his overalls occasionally, and likes to keep up-to-date with the new technology.
Corrie takes care of the mountain of paperwork a garage produces, she also keeps us on the straight and narrow with her health & safety hat on. Amongst her various duties, Corrie makes lots of calls each month to remind customers of their vehicles MOT expiry date. Although this is Corrie’s first job within the motor trade, she has many years of admin and Customer Service experience.
We currently have a vacancy for a fully qualified Vehicle Technician. The main duties include servicing, fault diagnosis, and repairs. An MOT testing qualification and/or BMW experience is not essential but would be an advantage. It is a permanent full time position offering a very competitive salary. Clive has spent his entire working life with BMW, and a good percentage of spare time with them too! After leaving school Clive secured an apprenticeship with BMW, and successfully qualified through the BMW Parts Apprenticeship scheme. He spent 21 years within the main dealer network, and worked his way up to Parts Controller, running a busy parts department at the local main dealer. We are very fortunate to have Clive’s wealth of knowledge and experience, he has embraced the new challenges that working for a smaller Company brings and is enjoying life outside a parts department.
Simon studied at West Suffolk College and spent 7 years with Ford where he did his apprenticeship, since then Simon has worked at Audi, over nine years as a technician, with various specialist training including braking systems, manual gearboxes and diesel engines. Simon is a MOT tester and in his spare time enjoys football and motorbikes.
